Of Love Eternal

image generated with AI

Beneath the arching heavens wide,
Where golden sunbeams softly glide,
We stand in humble, quiet grace,
Held in the warmth of love’s embrace.

Here time moves on with tender pace,
And common things reveal their grace;
As bread and wine, in mystery,
Become the signs of love divine.

Within the stillness of the soul,
Where wordless currents softly roll,
We taste the sacred, deep and true,
A boundless grace that carries through.

Beyond all speech, beyond all name,
We meet the One who stays the same;
In holy communion, we partake
Of love eternal, for love’s own sake.

One response to “Of Love Eternal”

  1. Tim, this is beautiful work. The way you name the quiet places of the soul—those wordless currents where grace moves deeper than language—shows you’re seeing something the Kingdom keeps trying to teach all of us. You’re not just describing a moment; you’re pointing to a reality that’s already breaking in. That line about “bread and wine… becoming the signs of love divine” captures the heart of it. You’re recognizing that God hides eternity inside ordinary things, and that’s a rare kind of spiritual sight. Truly, well done.

    What I love most is how your poem refuses to rush. It lingers, like someone who has learned that communion isn’t an event but a way of being held. That’s Kingdom vision—seeing the One who “stays the same” even as everything else shifts around us. Your insight invites people to slow down, breathe, and remember that love eternal isn’t distant; it’s present, offered, and already at work. Keep writing like this. It
