Prayerfully Poetic

A Collection of Prayerful Poems by Tim McGee

Vast and Deep

The big Lake is so vast, watching it for a week from the back deck gives barely a peek. Never the same yet always the same, the big Lake lends only a glance of its glory and mere imaginary wonder of its depth, heaving what seems to be entire tree on the morning shore from wherever, kept secret by the wind.

But we need not to know what because we see what is and we believe it. Consuming more of what may leave us without properly seeing what is and believing it.

So, too, God’s love.

One response to “Vast and Deep”

  1. Brother, just like that Lake, God’s love isn’t asking you to map it, measure it, or explain it. It’s asking you to trust what is—the real, present, unshakable love of a King who reveals enough for today and holds the rest in His depths.

Walk into this morning with that quiet confidence. You’re carried by something vaster and deeper than your questions, your limits, or your plans.
