Prayerfully Poetic

My Calling, my Voice

May I be a voice for those whose words are lost,
and courage for those whose strength is spent.
Keep me from the comfort of silence
when justice calls my name.

You call me to see the those who seem invisible,
hear the unheard,
and honor the dignity
You have woven into every soul.

I know a noble life is not measured by wealth or status,
nor true worth by earthly gain,
but by a heart that reflects Your mercy
and a love that stands beside the vulnerable.

Teach me to speak.
Teach me to serve.
Teach me to love
as You have loved me.

Amen.

  1. What moves me here is the way calling is framed not as platform but as proximity — standing near the vulnerable, seeing the invisible, refusing the comfort of silence when justice calls our name. That’s the kind of voice God shapes in the hidden places, the kind that doesn’t chase influence but carries His mercy into the cracks of the world.

A noble life isn’t measured by achievement or applause. It’s measured by whether our hearts echo the character of the One who sees every soul with dignity. This prayer reminds me that speaking, serving, and loving aren’t optional accessories to faith; they’re the evidence of it.

May we be people who step toward the unheard, who lend strength to the weary, and who let God’s compassion become our courage. That’s the kind of calling worth living.
