before beginning
there is communion

the Father giving
all that He is
fullness

the Son receiving
all that is given
and returning it
in radiant joy

the Spirit
living flame of that exchange
breath of delight
the sweetness of shared being

a diffusive love
is gift without measure
life pouring into life
fullness flowering into more fullness

from this holy abundance
worlds awaken
light lifts its face
waters gather their strength
dust learns the miracle of breath

creation shimmers
with borrowed glory
each creature a small window
opening outward from divine generosity

and still the current flows

grace moving through history
mercy rising in wounded places
presence whispering within the human heart
like a tide that knows its home

to be made in His image
is to become His channel

love received
love returned
love given again

the Trinity burns
at the center of all things
as eternal self-offering
as joy that multiplies by sharing
as life that increases by giving

enter that fire
and we will find
that the deepest truth of reality
is communion

holy abundance

a love so alive
it forever pours itself forth
and remains forever full
