-Inspired by Revelation 22:20

Come, Lord Jesus
into the waiting silence of my heart.
Let hope take root where weariness has grown,
and faith find light where shadows linger.
Teach me to watch, not with anxious eyes,
but with a soul made still in trust.
You have come once in humility,
and You will come again in glory,
but even now, come within,
where the manger waits beneath my striving.
Let repentance open the door,
let love prepare the way,
and let every longing in me
become a prayer that whispers
Come, Lord Jesus.
In the flesh at Bethlehem,
In grace within the soul,
In glory at the end of time.
Amen
*In an attempt to live the essence of this prayer, I will return with poems after Advent. Have a blessed time of preparation for the coming of our Lord and Savior.
