Unmoved burden within my heart,
each name a weight I can’t put down.
Their silence echoes in my soul,
and mine in theirs, a thorny crown.
I long to lay this burden low,
to breathe again, unbound, undone.
But grace is heavy in the hand
until it’s offered, one by one.
Grant me strength to break this chain,
to let the mercy start with me.
For only if I freely forgive
can I begin to set me free.
