Prayerfully Poetic

A Collection of Prayerful Poems by Tim McGee

Thy Kingdom Come

Let Your Kingdom rise
in the hearts that choose compassion
in the hands that offer bread
in the eyes that see another’s pain
       and stay

Let it shine
in the quiet labor of love
       in the songs sung softly
when no one hears but You
in the courage to speak peace
       when silence feels safer

Let Your will unfold
       like morning light
       steady and certain
       warming all it touches
May it be the breath I take
       the step I follow
       the stillness I enter
       when the world turns loud

Let earth reflect heaven
       in every act of kindness
       every choice for justice
       every moment surrendered
       in faith

Let me be a disciple of Your reign
       rooted in grace
       anchored in hope
       alive to Your presence
       here and now

Let it be, Lord
       as it is with You
       whole
       holy
and full of loveTop of Form

Amen

I am. I just followed you. I used to post things from my previous blog (Reflections from the Pew) but I shut down that account and I now rarely post. But I do read what my friends post.
