Jesus Wept

*image generated with AI, November 2024

Tears fell from the eyes of God,
Holy sorrow drenching earth,
As Love stood before death’s cold door,
Knowing the sting we bear.

He wept for the brokenness,
For hearts entangled in grief,
Not for lack of power,
But for love deeper than the grave.

Compassion clothed in flesh,
His tears sanctified the soil,
A tender witness to suffering,
In a world groaning for life.

Jesus wept,
And in His tears,
We find our hope,
A Savior who mourns with us
And breaks the chains of death.

  1. I have totally been meditating on these two Biblical words of late. I hope you are well, my friend.

  2. I am blown away that He came and took on flesh and felt what we feel and that He wept… WOW!
