I woke up this morning, the sun shining bright,
But I blinked—and poof!—it was gone from my sight.
A rainbow stretched wide, just over the hills,
But I was too busy refilling my pills.
A bird sang a solo, a sweet little tune,
But I hit snooze again, woke up near noon.
The flowers all bloomed in the garden out back,
But I was lost scrolling… can I get those hours back?
God whispered my name in a soft, loving tone,
But I did not hear it, staring at my phone.
A sunset, all pink, like a painter’s sweet dream—
I was caught in a rerun, chasing some meme.
It’s true, I keep missing God’s magical show,
But He sends them each day—so I’m learning, you know!
Tomorrow, I’ll watch for His miracles small—
Right after this nap… and one last shopping haul!
