Hear me, O God, in this hour of lament,
When shadows are long and spirits are bent.
In the silence, my heart cries out, I’m fully spent, Yearning for solace, for peace to be sent.
Where is the light that once guided my way?
The path now obscured; I’ve gone far astray.
In the depths of my sorrow, to You I convey,
All the grief and the anguish that darken my day.
Tears pour like rain from a raging stormy night,
Each drop a petition for the end of this plight.
From my crying I whimper, seeking Your light,
To transform my mourning, to heal my heart’s blight.
Hear me, O God, in my desolate plea,
When the weight of my sorrows is too great to see.
Lift me from shadows, set my spirit free,
Restore unto me the joy of being with Thee.
In this valley of weeping, with wounds open wide,
Be my comfort, my refuge, my faithful guide.
Hold me close, let Your love in me abide,
Till the dawn breaks anew and the darkness has died.
Hear me, O God, for my soul is laid bare,
In this sacred lament, answer my prayer.
With Your mercy and grace, my burdens repair,
And in Your firm hands, find healing there.
