left nets, waves, salt-stung air,
for a voice that stirred
deep currents within,
cast off from shore,
to chart a course
in unseen waters,
hands once roughened
by ropes and wood,
now open, empty,
filled with faith,
treading paths
where footprints fade
yet hearts remember.
